FAQ

Introduction

FAQ

Short answers to the account, execution, pricing, and payout questions that come up most often.

Do I need a separate wallet app?

No. Purp Trade uses an embedded wallet as the default account wallet after phone sign-in. The wallet signs the initial session-key authorization and controls user funds.

Why does the app ask for a session key?

A session key removes repeated wallet prompts for normal Tap Trades. It is scoped to trading actions, expires, and stays separate from withdrawal authority.

How are Tap Trades priced?

PaperTrade prices positions from Hyperliquid BBO midpoint data. The app also checks quote freshness, spread health, market pause state, leverage limits, and account balance before submitting a trade.

What happens when a winning close is not paid immediately?

The balance view shows a queued payout state. A queued payout is not treated as an error. It represents protocol-recognized value that pays out as the PaperTrade LP has available funds.

Can I withdraw margin from an open position?

No. Margin committed to an open position is reserved until the position closes or liquidates. Only available balance is withdrawable.
